ABOUT:
This Owl was a patina experiment that turned out to be some cool colors! The piece was sealed with protectaclear to hopefully keep the rainbow colors. I can’t guarantee the colors will stay indefinitely though.
A 3D printed Owl sitting on a Jack ‘O Lantern was created into a pendant using a process called electroform; depositing pure copper plating onto items using chemicals and electricity.
This piece was scanned from an original vintage piece in my friend Melanie’s collection, using photogrammetry.
A darkening patina has been added to bring out the details. This piece is hand polished, and lacquered to slow down the tarnishing process, and suspended from an 18 inch copper chain.
