 ABOUT:

Fisk Metallic Burial Cases were created and patented by Almond Dunbar Fisk in 1848 in Queens, NY.
Almond was originally a stove manufacturer. His brother passed away far from home, and back in those days it was impossible to transport a body hundreds of miles to have a burial in their home town.
Almond created the Fisk coffins to be air tight, so the deceased could be transported long distance, fully preserved, back to their family.

A mini replica of a Fisk coffin was created into a pendant using a process called electroform; depositing pure copper plating onto items using chemicals and electricity.

This piece has been 3D scanned from the original salesman’s sample paperweight that resides in my personal collection.

This piece is hand polished, a darkening patina has been added to bring out the details, lacquered, and suspended from an 18 inch chain.

*Please note that patina color may vary slightly*

Your necklace will be beautifully packaged so it is ready to give as a gift or to keep as a treasured adornment for yourself.
