 ABOUT:

A replica of an 1844-1890’s Floral Cross pendant created into a pendant using a process called electroform; depositing pure copper plating onto items using chemicals and electricity.

This piece is a resin cast, replicated by The Museum of the Very Strange, where the original piece resides.

There are many flowers in this sentimental mourning piece.
The cross represents faith
Roses represent love
Pansies represent remembrance and humility
Violets represent fasting, grief, and a love lost
Forget-Me-Nots represent remembrance
Daisies represent youth, gentleness, and purity of thought

This piece was created as a collaboration with my friend Lori of Lomo Studio Designs. I prepared the pieces up until the plating process, and she did the copper plating.

A darkening patina has been added to bring out the details. This piece is hand polished, and lacquered to slow down the tarnishing process, and suspended from a 20 inch  copper chain.

Your necklace will be beautifully packaged so it is ready to give as a gift or to keep as a treasured adornment for yourself.

CHAIN LENGTH:

- This piece comes with a 24” chain.
Please specify in the comments at checkout if you would prefer a chain length of 16", 18", 20, or 22" instead. If no size is indicated at checkout, you will receive the 24” chain.

CARE:

-A small silver polishing cloth is included with your necklace, so you can keep your piece  shiny and beautiful.

- Always remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, or doing any type of strenuous activity.
