A graffiti Fordite cabochon was created into a pendant using a process called electroform; depositing pure copper plating onto items using chemicals and electricity.

"Graffiti Fordite" is made up of thousands of layers of naturally accumulated spray paint. The rough paint has more than 20 years of built up paint in it and more than 20 years of history. This is not made in a lab or a garage like other similar items, it is made on the street. Thousands of graffiti writers and Street artists of all walks of life, young and old, alive and dead, rich and poor have contributed to making of this material. From the kid picking up the spray can for the very first time to the accomplished graffiti writer or street artist that has been at this for many years everyone's art is a part of this and everybody's energy is in this old paint.

A darkening patina has been added to bring out the details. This piece is hand polished, and lacquered to slow down the tarnishing process, and suspended from an 18 inch  copper chain.

Your necklace will be beautifully packaged so it is ready to give as a gift or to keep as a treasured adornment for yourself.
