ABOUT:
These earrings are created with 3D resin printed replicas of cross style Victorian Era coffin screw. The screws were then plated using a process called electroform; depositing pure copper onto items using chemicals and electricity.
The original screw resides in my personal collection.
These decorative screws were used during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s to seal the coffins of the deceased.
A darkening patina has been used to bring out the details. Each pair of earrings have hypoallergenic Niobium ear wires, and come with a pair of clear backers for the ear wires.
